Cheoy Lee yachts are renowned for their strength and craftsmanship, and the Offshore 41 remains one of the yard’s most respected long-distance designs. As a result, she continues to appeal to serious cruising sailors. Custom Specification and Interior The Custom specification allowed owners to enhance the original build, and this example benefits from a generous use of solid teak and teak veneer throughout the accommodation. The interior is warm, traditional, and exceptionally well finished, with a level of joinery rarely seen on modern yachts. Ownership and Care ‘Sharifa’ was launched in Hong Kong by her first owner before being shipped to the UK. She is now owned by a very experienced yachtsman and has been sympathetically updated, preserving her character while improving reliability and comfort. Rig, Hull, and Structural Updates Major works have been addressed in recent years, including new standing rigging (2021), recaulked decks (2021), a hull repaint (2022), and new chainplates (2022). Because these key items are complete, the yacht presents as a well-sorted offshore cruiser. Systems, Comfort, and Equipment Upgrades include a Raymarine Axiom navigation system (2022), wind turbine (2022), Starlink connectivity, Webasto Evo 40 diesel heating (2024), and a new Force 10 oven. A new dinghy and outboard are also included, supporting comfortable cruising and life at anchor. Cruising Capability Overall, ‘Sharifa’ offers a rare combination of classic bluewater design and sensible modern upgrades. Because of her build quality, ketch rig, and recent investment, she remains well suited to extended offshore cruising and liveaboard use. Location and Viewing The yacht is currently located in Falmouth and available for viewing by appointment. Please contact the Falmouth office on 01326 313143 for further details and images. She is solid, reassuring, and beautifully finished, with a teak interior that reflects real craftsmanship rather than decoration. The ketch rig adds flexibility offshore, and the recent structural and systems upgrades show knowledgeable, long-term ownership. For sailors drawn to classic bluewater yachts with genuine pedigree and presence, this Cheoy Lee Offshore 41 is a very compelling proposition.
