Overview

Design and Capability

The Malö 40 Classic is a highly capable cruising yacht, designed to cross oceans in comfort and safety while remaining equally at home on coastal passages. Built by Malö Yachts, she reflects the brand’s reputation for quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design. As a result, Malö yachts of this era have completed notable voyages worldwide.

Ownership and Care

‘Pemandia’ has been in current ownership since new and has been maintained to a very high standard throughout. Recent upgrades include all new navigation equipment and a new electrical system, which significantly enhance reliability and ease of use.

Sailing and Handling

The yacht is well set up for short-handed sailing. Key features include a bow thruster, in-mast furling mainsail, autopilot, and all control lines led aft to the cockpit. Because of this layout, she is easy to manage with a small crew, both under sail and in harbour.

Recent Maintenance

Pre-season works have already been completed. These include new antifoul and anodes, engine and generator servicing, and sail laundering and inspection. As a result, the yacht is offered in ready-to-go condition, with no immediate jobs required.

Cruising Use

Whether your plans involve relaxed summer cruising to quiet anchorages or longer offshore passages, this Malö 40 Classic is well suited to both. Her balance of comfort, performance, and build quality makes her a strong all-round cruising yacht.

Broker's Comments

Pemandia is solid, calm, and looks after you, which is exactly what you want when the weather turns or the miles start to add up. The short-handed setup makes life easy, and the fact she’s been owned from new really shows in the way she’s been maintained. She’s had the right work done at the right time, and she’s ready to be used straight away. If you’re after a proper cruising boat that won’t give you any nasty surprises, this Malö 40 Classic is great.
