Designed by Leif Ängermark during the yard’s peak years, she is widely regarded as one of Malö’s finest designs. Often described as the “Swedish army knife” of cruising yachts, the Malö 42 combines strength, practicality, and genuine offshore capability. Build Quality and Capability This design is known for its exceptional build quality, with extensive hand-finishing and robust engineering throughout. It is widely accepted that the Malö 42 cost significantly more to build than later models, due to her over-engineered specification and attention to detail. As a result, she remains highly sought after and is rarely available on the UK market. Condition and Location Overall, this Malö 42 represents a great opportunity to acquire a proven Scandinavian bluewater cruiser, offered for immediate sale. She is currently lying in Falmouth and ready to be viewed. High-resolution images and further details are available — please call us for a full description. The design, build quality, and overall specification are exactly what you want to see on a serious cruising yacht. The Hydrovane, heating, and davits are not add-ons for show; they’re the right equipment for real use. Boats like this don’t come up often, and when they do, the good ones stand out quickly. If you understand Scandinavian cruisers and want something genuinely capable without unnecessary complexity, this one is worth a close look.
