Overview

Built in 2005, this Mitchell 31 MK III combines the rugged construction and reassuring seakeeping for which the Mitchell hull has long been respected with a particularly practical twin-engine installation.

Her twin Volvo Penta D3-160 diesel engines drive through DuoProp sterndrives and provide a comfortable cruising speed of approximately 12 knots, with a maximum speed of approximately 18 knots. Bow and stern thrusters, hydraulic steering, trim tabs and independently adjustable leg trim make her manageable in confined waters and allow her running attitude to be adjusted while underway.

The enclosed wheelhouse provides protection for the helm and navigator, while the spacious, self-draining aft cockpit can be used for fishing, practical deck work or relaxed seating. Wide side decks, stainless-steel rails and well-positioned grab rails allow straightforward movement around the boat.

Below deck, she provides a forward double berth, saloon seating, a practical galley and an enclosed heads compartment. Diesel heating, hot and cold pressurised water, shore power and a comprehensive electrical installation make her suitable for comfortable coastal cruising and overnight stays.

A solid and capable coastal motor cruiser with useful accommodation, generous deck space and the security of twin-engine propulsion.
