Overview

Design and Construction

The Rossiter Curlew 32, built in 1984, is a well-regarded cruising yacht that blends traditional design with dependable modern construction. Her GRP hull, paired with classic timber joinery to the cockpit and capping rails, gives her a timeless appearance. At the same time, the use of GRP provides durability and straightforward maintenance.

Sailing Characteristics

Under sail, the Rossiter Curlew 32 is known for being stiff, directionally stable, and reassuring. Because of this, she is a comfortable and capable passage maker in a wide range of conditions. The furling mainsail and furling headsail make sail handling simple, which suits short-handed or single-handed sailing particularly well.

Accommodation and Layout

Below deck, the layout is practical and welcoming. Accommodation includes four berths, with a double berth forward and two single berths in the saloon. This arrangement works well for cruising, while still keeping the interior open and usable.

Interior Comfort

The interior follows a traditional style, offering good space and a warm, functional feel. Because of this, the yacht remains comfortable for extended time aboard. Storage and layout are sensible, which supports relaxed cruising and longer stays on board.

Upgrades and Equipment

‘Isobel of Stanton’ has been carefully maintained and upgraded with cruising comfort in mind. A full cockpit enclosure provides excellent protection, while Eberspächer diesel heating extends the sailing season. In addition, a well-equipped saloon and galley contribute to a cosy and liveable environment.

Cruising Capability

Overall, the Rossiter Curlew 32 offers a reassuring mix of traditional character and practical cruising ability. Because she is easy to manage and comfortable to live with, she suits both coastal cruising and longer passages.

Condition and Location

The yacht is currently ashore at Mylor Yacht Harbour and is available for viewing by appointment.
