Designed by Chuck Paine, the Victoria 34 draws clear inspiration from the much-admired Bowman 40, sharing the same emphasis on balance, strength, and offshore capability. Because of this pedigree, she is equally at home on long-distance passages or relaxed coastal cruising. Sailing Characteristics The Victoria 34 is known for her reassuring sailing manners and predictable handling. She feels solid and composed under sail, which makes her well suited to extended passages. At the same time, she remains enjoyable and manageable for shorter coastal hops. Accommodation and Layout One of the standout features of this yacht is the separate aft cabin, which provides excellent privacy. This layout works particularly well for couples or owners who plan to cruise with guests. As a result, the interior feels practical, comfortable, and well suited to longer stays aboard. Upgrades and Improvements This Victoria 34 has benefited from a strong list of recent upgrades, which adds significant value. These include a full Coppercoat application, a new windlass, a recent set of sails, upgraded chart plotter and wind instruments, and new safety equipment. Importantly, she is also fitted with a replacement Yanmar engine showing approximately 250 hours, which offers peace of mind for future cruising. Cruising Readiness Overall, this is a yacht that has been carefully prepared and upgraded with cruising in mind. Because key systems have already been addressed, she presents as a turnkey package, ready to sail without the need for immediate work. Condition and Location ‘Blue Belle’ is currently lying in her marina berth at Haslar Marina, Portsmouth, and is available for viewing by appointment. Being the last one ever built gives her a unique place in the model’s history, and she absolutely lives up to the reputation. ‘Blue Belle’ feels solid, capable, and very well sorted, with upgrades that clearly reflect real cruising experience. The separate aft cabin is a huge plus, and the newer engine and Coppercoat make her particularly appealing from a practical ownership point of view. For sailors looking for a proper offshore-capable cruiser that is genuinely ready to go, this is a rare and compelling opportunity.
