Overview
This 7.9 Cheetah Marine Catamaran was delivered to her current owner in 2012 and used at the 2012 Southampton Boatshow, attracting considerable attention. Cheetah Marine were established almost 30 years ago and are the leading manufacturer of powered catamarans up to 12 m. They have an excellent reputation for build quality, their ranges are hugely popular in the commercial market. ‘Yellowfin’ however has been bespoke built for private ownership, she has never been coded, hence she is in as new condition.
She has a mid length raised cabin and extended over hang to give plenty of headroom, she has an open transom to allow fishing between engine bays, livebait Larry for fish storage, a comprehensive electronics package, numerous rod holders, storage and out riggers.
This Cheetah Marine 7.9 would make an excellent choice for private or commercial fishing trips, she is CE certified for 6 persons meaning coding would allow 4 guest plus 2 crew.
Perfect for Tuna fishing!
There is a marina berth at the highly sought after MYLOR YACHT HARBOUR available via separate negotiation.
She is currently afloat and available for viewings, please contact our Falmouth office for further information.
Hull moulding - isopthalic gelcoat backed with a layer of powerbound matt with vinylester resin.
The skin is added to with a combination of chopped strand and multi axle cloth.
The shell structure is added to with a series of internal ethafoam bulkheads. These are encased and bonded with glass fibre to create an extremely coherent structure.
The last phase of hull construction which is of utmost importance to the buoyancy of the catamaran is fitting a closed cell honeycomb deck directly onto the top of the bulkhead and bridgedeck.
