Kumari is a truly exceptional example of the Malö 39- a yacht that combines Scandinavian craftsmanship with robust offshore capability. Ballast: Internal lead ballast, fully encapsulated in the keel stub to eliminate keel bolt maintenance and ensure watertight integrity.
Deck: GRP sandwich construction with balsa or foam core for rigidity and thermal insulation. Deck and hull are bonded and through-bolted on an inward flange.
Teak: Teak decking, coachroof top, and cockpit sole.
Rudder: Spade rudder on stainless steel stock.
Structural Integrity: Bulkheads and furniture bases fully bonded to the hull for torsional strength; stringers and floors laminated into the hull shell.
Superstructure: Strong coachroof with handholds, fixed windscreen, stainless steel pulpit, pushpit, and guardrails.
Cockpit: Secure aft cockpit with excellent protection. Full-height cockpit enclosure in blue canvas (new 2025). Folding teak cockpit table, with extension and custom cushions.
